Daft FUNK!
If you have not yet listened to the new funky ass Daft Punk album Random Access Memories, you need to do so as soon as possible. Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo better known as Daft Punk have created a dance monster. The mix of their ingenious electronic sound with the rhythm and beat of funk music produces some of the most enjoyable and danceable music my ears have heard. It doesn’t matter if your 80 years old or a Hip Hop enthusiast that can’t even stand to say the words Electronic dance music, this album is for all music lovers. If you don’t believe me throw the album in for 10 minutes and see if you don’t start moving those hips. I guarantee you will be ready to hit the dance floor in no time, or if you’re like me every time you get in the shower it’s like a solo dance party. The very popular hit single “Get Lucky” is just the T!P of the iceberg when it comes to this album. Pharrell Williams works his magic once again and adds an amazing feel to the album with the addition of his vocals. With his smooth, soft, up beat voice it literally feels like verbal clouds of joy inserting your ears. Be on the lookout for a Remixed version of “Get Luucky” as early as next month, as Daft Punk is planning on releasing a new version for us to jam too. Julian Casablancas, Panda Bear, Nile Rodgers, Giorgio Moroder, and Paul Williams also contributed to the album making it almost like a super project with multiple geniuses working to create a masterpiece. A lot of people including Daft Punk thought the hype far exceeded the potential product at hand for this album. But that is far from the case, as the French duo has done it again. I sincerely look forward to jamming to this album all summer its sure going to make for a lot of boogie nights.
