A Color Map of the Sun
Watch this awesome documentary that follows Derrick Smith aka Pretty Lights as he walks us through the process of creating his new album A Color Map of the Sun. I knew of Pretty Lights for a while but did not actually get a chance to see him until Bonnaroo 2013. I immediately became hooked to his new Electro-HipHop-Soul sound that he's bringing to light. He reminds me of Kill Paris a little but he's way more in to the actual creation of sounds by using instruments and musicians rather than producing all his sounds electronically. The mixes he does are jaw dropping I encourage you all to at least check it out and see what I'm talking about. This dude is just getting started, I'm just glad I found the music and story behind it. Enjoy!
(thats his cat that travels everywhere with him)
WHO IS PRETTY LIGHTS: (Wiki)
